We have been busy with various things including Dennis' 2yr Dr appt and George and Vivian's 6month appt. We found out that Dennis is completely average in size - if he were 3 1/2 years old... Yes, it is true, he is bigger than over 50% of most 3yr olds. But healthy and happy all the same. And George, little George, coming into this world at barely 5 lbs is now a complete tub. He and Vivian both weighed more than Dennis did at his 6month appt. Go figure.
Dennis is, for the most part, really gentle and friendly with his brother and sister. Here, Dennis shows off some of his new vocabulary while entertaining George post-nap:
Right now, George and Vivian still take 2-3 naps a day, but lately all 3 of the kids have been taking an afternoon nap that overlaps - hence, the blog time for me! Of course, sometimes George and Vivian wake up earlier, and if that happens, they just hang out with me, have bathtime or play on the bed so as not to wake Dennis:
Of course, sometimes sleep just doesn't happen at all. The other night, George was up until 10:30pm and then no sooner did I get him down to sleep, he started waking up every half hour, thrashing around, etc. It was not a fun night. We tried everything, but I ended up just rocking/feeding him back to sleep until morning. The next day, I remembered how they say sometimes a baby will be 'working on something' and thus, will not sleep. Today we found out just exactly what George had been working on:
He is crawling -not fast, not often, but he can get across the entire living room!!
