Garbage Day

Today, Dennis took George and Vivian for a walk around our block. We love to do this on Wednesday, as it is garbage/recycling day in our neighborhood, and Dennis loves big trucks.

We left the house and put the last of the day's diapers in our own trash can, and started our walk. Within 10 minutes, we spotted one of the trucks, and stopped to watch a
s the garbage was picked up, and emptied into the truck. Dennis waved at the nice Garbage collector (is the that politically correct word?).

We continued our walk and Dennis stopped to point out all the flowers and plants he had learned the days before - rock rose, sword fern, rose rose, tulip, flower. I'm not sure how many he will remember, but
he is really enjoying using 2-word combos these days.

As we reached our alley to return home for lunch, we had the best garbage day luck ever - the truck was in our alley and we got to watch it empty every can on the block! The driver waved at us on the way out, as Dennis chirped 'Bye bye diaper truck'.

By this time, George and Vivian were tired and ready to head inside to relax in the sunshine on the bed.
