"Happy" Mother's Day....

We were all very excited to spend our first new 'holiday' doing something fun....it didn't go exactly as we would have planned.

At 3am Dennis woke up with what we thought was another round of that weird 'croup' cough thing.
At 4am we were steaming him in our bathroom, per the nurse's instructions, kind of like a spa...only no cucumber slices.
By 5am we were at the ER, where we stayed until 10am. Several nurses and a Dr. visited us, followed by an xray, and bloodwork. These tests showed Dennis has Pneumonia. Initially, I was very worried, but it turns out that this is not scary in kids his age who are otherwise healthy. What do I know? Caused by either a virus, bacteria or... a fungus!
By 11am we were home, drugs in hand. Luckily, they gave us the OK to go out and carry on as we normally would have, as long as Dennis stayed perky. So, we had a fun shopping trip, a nice drive and a late lunch before returning home.
